YOUTH LEADERSHIP & INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION
A leadership journey through institution-building, cross-cultural communication and opportunities for others to contribute.
MY LEADERSHIP APPROACH
My approach to leadership is to create conditions in which people can contribute, take responsibility and develop judgement. A strong organisation should carry its purpose beyond the energy of one person and give new members a path toward meaningful work.
Across student associations, programme outreach and international volunteering, I have worked to connect people with practical opportunities: a project to lead, a dialogue to help organise, a responsibility to learn from and a relationship that can continue.
SABRI · 2024–2025
I served as SABRI President from 2024 to 2025, leading a multicultural student association during a period of rebuilding after pandemic disruption. My priorities were organisational clarity, member development and sustained external engagement.
I worked to define responsibilities more clearly, improve the path from participation to leadership, bring former leaders into an advisory structure and prepare the next generation to carry the association forward. The aim was to distribute ownership and preserve continuity.
External engagement included dialogue with academic, institutional and diplomatic counterparts, opportunities for industry exposure, and contributions to youth programmes. I helped co-organise the 2024 and 2025 Tsinghua Global Youth Dialogue activities and led the SABRI delegation to the 2024 Lianyungang Belt and Road Youth Talent Dialogue.
What matters most to me in this work is the development of others: members gaining confidence, taking meaningful responsibility and applying their experience in the communities they later lead.

Clarify responsibilities, create advisory support and preserve working knowledge.
Create pathways from participation to ownership and prepare the next generation of leaders.
Bring student communities into dialogue with institutions, industry and international peers.

INTERNATIONAL YOUTH EXCHANGE
My SABRI work included youth-dialogue activities, institutional exchange and opportunities to learn from industry and multilateral infrastructure settings. Leading the Lianyungang delegation connected campus leadership with a wider youth-development conversation.
TILE · 2023–2024
I co-founded Tsinghua International Language and Cultural Exchange, helping shape its mission, programme structure and member organisation. From late 2023 through 2024, the platform brought Chinese and international students together through language learning and cultural exchange.
I served as its first vice chairperson before stepping down to focus on the SABRI presidency. The founding experience taught me how to turn a shared idea into a programme people can join, shape and carry forward.
TSINGHUA · 2023–2025
From 2023 to 2025, I supported international programme communication and prospective-student engagement for Tsinghua’s Department of Industrial Engineering. Drawing on my own experience in the international Master of Engineering Management programme, I contributed to digital outreach, information sharing and applicant engagement.
This role developed my ability to explain an academic experience clearly, understand the questions of people from different backgrounds and support communication between a programme and its prospective community.
Volunteering on a linked initiative · 2025
In 2025, I supported a UNITAR-linked initiative through volunteer planning, international communication and stakeholder coordination. This work complemented my interest in sustainability, youth engagement and cooperation across academic and institutional settings.
My wider exchange experience includes youth participation in Future Close-Up and the Global Digital Economy Conference in 2025, and participation in the China and Globalization Forum in 2026. These settings offered opportunities to discuss development, technology and cooperation with people working across different countries and sectors.

COMMUNITY SERVICE
During undergraduate study at Jiangsu Normal University, I served as a class representative and volunteered in support of international students during the COVID-19 period. I have also participated in Agrogami, a Bangladeshi student social organisation.
These experiences gave leadership a personal meaning: keep communication open, notice when people need support and take responsibility for a community’s everyday needs.
